This Natural Life.

I've always been an outdoors-y type of gal. I'm an adventurer and nature lover.

I grew up in the deep south. I was born and (mostly) raised in Georgia. I've lived in Georgia, Kansas, Washington State, Germany, Kentucky, and Alabama. I recently relocated to southern California with my husband and our fur babes. I'm a southern gal at heart.

I spent my early life moving around with my family. My father was in the Army. I'm an Army brat.

I married the love of my life back in 2011. We have been dating since 2005. We met while attending college. I love that we've been able to grow and mature throughout our relationship. I'm so proud to call him my husband and myself his wife.

I started playing the clarinet when I was 10 years old. I can now play most instruments. I'm a musician.

I graduated with a Bachelor's in Music Education at Valdosta State in Georgia. I was the first in my extended family to go to college. I love being an educator.

I love to hula hoop and dance. I have been hoop dancing since 2009. I own a hula-hooping small business where I make handcrafted hoops and teach hoop dance. I also fire hoop and spin fire poi. I'm a movement artist.

I love music and have attended dozens of music festivals and even more concerts. Coachella is one of my favorite festivals. I'm a fest-y and concert goer.

I have always had a big heart for animals. I currently have 3 cats and 2 dogs. I plan to gather more cuties once my husband and I get a farm one day. I'm a crazy animal lady.

I love any type of crafty hobby you can think of. Crotcheting, knitting, stitching, embroidery, paper crafts...all. of. the. crafts. I'm a crafty bitch.

I have had fertility issues. I have struggled and continue to struggle. I suffered from an ectopic pregnancy in September 2016. I am finally brave enough to speak more freely and openly about my infertility. I'm an ectopic pregnancy survivor.

I have been gardening most of my adulthood. My grandfather inspired me to start gardening when I was younger. From a young age, I found it thrilling to grow produce and live (I was there most of my childhood) on a micro-farm complete with a garden, chickens and roosters (who woke you up every. single. morning.) and a muscadine grapevine. I credit him for teaching me the ropes (shucking peas, green beans, and collecting collard greens from the garden) of running a micro-farm. I definitely got my green thumb from my grandfather. I'm proud to call myself a gardener.

I want to co-own a farm with my husband one day. My husband and I are currently planning our future family farm. We want a self-sustainable, eco-friendly farm. A big project of mine is to build our farm from the ground up. I'm studying to become and eco-designer to help make our dreams come true.

I love to take photos. I like to think I have a good eye for it. I consider myself an amateur photographer.

I went back to my natural hair in 2009 and I'll never go back to chemically processed hair. I have nappy hair and I love it.

I (try to) eat mostly organic, wholesome, feel good types food. I'm a natural girl.

This is my natural life.
