SoCal Flora and the #superbloom

California is experiencing a spring like it hasn't in a very long time (since 2005).

Our state had a wet winter and it helped to germinate little sleepy seeds resting in the desert void. The governor of California even declared the emergency drought is over (that doesn't mean we should stop conserving water. ALWAYS CONSERVE WATER!!!!).

The major boost in rainfall has sprouted beautiful wildflowers throughout the region. It's been coined as the #superbloom, and I'm digging every minute of it (I do love a good hashtag).

I reside in Southern California, Orange County. Our local wildflowers consist of an array of magical colors and can be found throughout the county.

Below are some native flora and #superbloom photos I captured throughout the spring season.

I've been doing research on California plant species and would love some help identifying these wildflowers. Please comment below with the flower identifications!

Sonriente Trail, Trabuco Canyon neighborhood trail (enter trail from Dove Canyon Drive near the waterfall entrance.)
